Discussing the same, he stated, ‘Dayaben will surely return to the show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. We will surely bring back the character of Daya Bhabhi. People say that they have not been enjoying watching the show since Daya Bhabhi quit the show. I totally agree with it. Our whole team is trying to bring back the character of Daya Bhabhi to the show as early as possible.’

Asit Modi also added, ‘I have shortlisted a few actresses for Dayaben’s role and you all will also get to meet them soon. Five years have passed since Disha Vakani quit the show and we still miss her. She was very concerned about her co-actors and crew members. Our target is to get someone like Disha Vakani.’

Since her departure from television Disha Vakani maintained her role as Dayaben in the serial until she dedicated herself fully to family life. Numerous fans of Disha Vakani want to witness her portrayal of Dayaben in the television show.
