“Pahalgam Terror Attack LIVE: Government blocks 16 Pakistani YouTube channels for spreading ‘misinformation against India and the Army'”

The banned sites include YouTube channels of Dawn News, Samaa TV, ARY News, etc.

The Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah together with the MLAs observed a moment of silence as part of tributes paid to Pahalgam terror attack victims at the one-day special session of the J&K Assembly in Srinagar on Monday, April 28, 2025.

Government officials reported that the Centre expressed its firm stance to BBC India leader Jackie Martin about Pahalgam terror attack coverage. The letter from the Indian government to BBC demanded a correction of the label ‘militants’ for ‘terrorists’ and the government monitors BBC coverage regarding the Pahalgam attack.

The Jammu and Kashmir Assembly observed two-minute silence on Monday to pay homage to the 26 people killed in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. As the House convened for a special session here, Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather condemned the killing of innocent tourists from various parts of the country.

The Pakistani military sustained its ceasefire violations across the Line of Control (LoC) through unprovoked artillery attacks across Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch and Kupwara districts based on Army official reports from April 28, 2025. The fourth consecutive night brought more unprovoked firing from Pakistan forces along the LoC during this border dispute which intensified between India and Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror assault.

Meanwhile, Kashmir on Sunday (April 27, 2025) witnessed growing opposition from several regional parties to the ongoing demolition drive of houses of terrorists, as 10 buildings were dismantled in controlled blasts by security forces.
